We employ 46 Teaching Staff, full and part time. Teaching posts are usually advertised in the Times Educational Supplement (published Fridays), as well as on this site. Detailed information about positions which become available will be found on this site. Following receipt of an application form, references will be requested on selected applicants, then a short list will be drawn up and candidates invited for interview. At interview candidates will normally meet the Head and other relevant staff, tour the school with student guides, carry out an exercise (for which clear instructions will be issued in advance to allow preparation), and then have a formal interview in the afternoon. Candidates are not expected to wait after their interview, and decisions are communicated by 'phone at the end of the day.

We also have clerical positions, ICT and Science Technicians, Support Staff for children with Special Educational Needs, and Dinnertime Supervisors. These positions are usually advertised in the local press (Gazette and Herald) as well as in our own newsletters.

Catering and Cleaning services are contracted out.

Teaching staff interested in supply work are invited to submit a Curriculum Vitae. We would normally expect you to be on the North Yorkshire supply list, which will ensure you have appropriate qualifications, medical and police clearance.
